Job Summary: 

As a Sales Representative at ATRON Group, you will be responsible for cable assembly sales. ATRON Group is a leading cable manufacturing company that specializes in wire harnesses, RF cables, over molded cables, high pair count cables, control cables, and systems. We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, as well as expanding relationships with our existing customers in the Texas territory. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve new business growth and expansion with existing customers. 
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential new customers and market trends. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations. 
  • Deliver effective product presentations to clients and provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Work collaboratively with the internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and services. 
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate sales reports to the VP of Business Development. 

 

Requirements: 

  • At least 5 years of experience in cable manufacturing sales. 
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer relationships. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.

Manufacturing Cost Estimator - General

Manufacturing Cost Estimator – General

The Manufacturing Cost Estimator will be a key member of the estimation team, reporting to the Director of Engineering and Quality. The candidate should be a dedicated, detail-oriented individual, who shows self-initiative and can prioritize and concurrently work multiple priorities, with a proven track record of developing, coordinating, and executing estimations on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Estimate labor and material requirements for a variety of different products.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, parts lists, specifications, etc. to ensure manufacturability and cost to manufacture.
  • Review customer RFQ’s and determine material requirements, processing, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Communication with customers to accurately define requirements and expectations.
  • Work with outside suppliers/services to achieve best possible prices.
    • Determines tooling requirements.
  • Consolidate all outside costs and internal costs associated with process time.
  • Create detailed quote packages for final review.
  • Work with shop floor and engineering/quality to ensure all data for manufacture is accurate and complete before final package is prepared.
  • Analyzes various pricing scenarios/checks margins.
  • Provide accurate quotes on a timely basis, as needed
  • Communicate any issues to Director of Engineering and Quality
  • Ensure efficient and effective quoting processes for the company.
    • Maintains and organizes all quote documentation

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in estimation and proposals, or similar
  • Experience auditing accuracy of forecast labor and material requirements to produce reliable estimations
  • Experience leading a project and/or program from RFQ to project on-boarding to transition to production
  • Experience with sheet-metal fabrication, cable harness manufacturing, and assembly operations
  • Proposal experience with knowledge of cost estimating and RFQ processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Course work in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, Finance, or similar discipline
  • Strong knowledge of metal processing, such as forming, joining, machining, anodizing, passivation, etc.
  • Working knowledge of IPC-620
  • Familiarity with CAD, preferably SolidWorks or AutoCAD
  • Excellent planning, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Communication with customers to accurately define requirements and expectations.

Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Assurance Engineer

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be a key member of the quality team, reporting to the Director of Engineering and Quality. The candidate should be a dedicated, detail-oriented individual, who shows self-initiative and can prioritize and concurrently work multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assure compliance to and provide guidance and expertise regarding interpreting AS9100 standard and internal Quality policies to assure compliance and the health of the QMS.
  • Perform quality audits and assessments to assure compliance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements in support of CMMI, AS9100 and the Quality Management System.
  • Lead Customer and Third-Party Audits.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and support efforts to implement LEAN principles throughout the organization.
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.
  • Reviews root causes and corrective/preventive action plans for adequacy.
  • Investigate and resolve Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs), taking a lead role in assuring that all CAPAs are addressed timely.
  • Participate on the Material Review Board, assuring the identification of and appropriate disposition of all non-conforming material.
  • Work with suppliers on quality improvement projects through use of corrective actions.
  • Acts as an organizational contact for customer concerns and ensure appropriate corrective actions are deployed as necessary.
  • Works under minimal direction.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with and understanding of the AS9100 QMS Aerospace standard.
  • 5 years’ Experience working with and supporting the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • 5 years’ Experience auditing to quality system standards.
  • 5 years’ Experience with Corrective Action/Preventative Action, Root Cause Corrective Actions.
  • 5 years’ Experience with performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation, and interpretation.
  • Experience developing presentations for and presenting to executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or aerospace a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of auditing principles, standards, techniques, and practices.
  • Demonstrated use of structured problem-solving methods, knowledge of quality and engineering concepts and tools.

Quality Control Inspector

Quality Control Inspector

The Quality Control Inspector will be a key member of the quality team, reporting to the Quality Control and Shipping Supervisor. The candidate should be a dedicated, detail-oriented individual, who shows self-initiative and can prioritize and concurrently work multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic inspection of in-process material, subassemblies, or products to ensure consistency with applicable documentation and specifications.
  • Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods.
  • Inspect products for welding, mechanical assembly, dimensional, and workmanship defects.
  • Check physical appearance of parts, subassemblies and assemblies for adherence to established industry workmanship and/or customer specific standards.
  • Compare work order/document package to the assembly for correct part number, drawing, revision, as-required approval(s), and Engineering Change Order(s).
  • Performs and documents internal and external first article inspections.
  • Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database.
  • Segregate rejected material from accepted material, controlling such until disposition is made. Prepare acceptance documents as appropriate for finished products.
  • Inform the Production Supervisor of any assembly problems and generate corresponding non-conformance documents.
  • Maintain and improve quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures.
  • Assist with internal audits of Quality Management System.
  • Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans.
  • Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, working with minimum supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of industry experience in QC inspection role.
  • Practical understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Must be able to read and interpret product specifications, drawings, datasheets, and technical documentation.
  • Must have experience using mechanical and optical inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, microscopes, cameras, bore gauges, etc.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Capable of converting between metric and standard units.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards.
  • Experience performing 1st article inspection reports on AS9102 forms.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.

Sheet Metal Fabricator

Sheet Metal Fabricator

We are seeking a Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and organizational skills. The sheet metal worker must have the ability to effectively prioritize and manage competing demands. The sheet metal worker fabricates parts from raw stock on standard sheet metal equipment such as shears, brakes, and presses.

Responsibilities of the Sheetmetal Assembler

  • Work from blueprints, sketches, and standardized work instructions, and use standard sheet metal equipment such as shears and brakes to fabricate parts for Howell products.
  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
  • Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
  • Take precise measurements to ensure appropriate junctions and fits
  • Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
  • Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
  • Check output to ensure highest quality
  • Maintain equipment in good condition
  • Keep records of production quantities and time
  • Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
